結夏小參：「缺齒老胡，十萬里帶得箇沒滋味來，流布天下叢林，使一箇箇面不廝覷，長期短期只管捱，驀然打箇無合殺，便乃見佛殺佛，見祖殺祖，聞戒定慧，唾罵不已。雖然如是，育王今夏莫有此人麼？」卓主丈：「舌柱上齶。」

Informal gathering for entering the summer retreat: "The toothless old barbarian brought something without flavor across a hundred thousand miles, spreading it throughout the monasteries of the realm, causing each and every one not to look one another in the face, merely pushing through long periods and short periods. Suddenly bringing about an utter conclusion, they then kill the Buddha when seeing the Buddha, kill the patriarch when seeing the patriarch, and hearing of precepts, samādhi, and wisdom, they spit and revile without ceasing. Even though it is like this, does Yuwang have such a person this summer?" He struck his staff: "The tongue presses against the upper palate."
