中秋上堂：「舉一步則光吞萬象，掎一毫則影落千江。為什麼往往今宵貪觀天上？」擊拂子：「只為分明極，飜令所得遲。」

Ascending the hall on Mid-Autumn: "Lifting one step, light swallows the myriad forms; grasping one hair, shadows fall into a thousand rivers. Why is it that tonight people are often greedy to gaze at the heavens?" Striking his whisk, he said: "Just because it is extremely distinct, / on the contrary, it causes what is attained to be delayed."
