謝瑞巖和尚，上堂：「有意待不來，無心忽會面，頂髮垂絲，眼光如電，說盡湖海風波，論量柴米貴賤，更有一處少人知。」擊拂子：「也是重安眼上眉。」

Expressing thanks to Upādhyāya Ruiyan, ascending the hall: "Intending to meet, one does not come; without intention, they suddenly encounter each other. The hair on his crown hangs like threads, his eyes gleam like lightning. He speaks exhaustively of the winds and waves of lakes and seas, and deliberates on the dearness of firewood and rice. There is yet another point known to few." Striking with his whisk: "It is also adding eyebrows above the eyes once again."
