中秋上堂：「或隱或顯，有虧有盈，為天上無私之鑑，實人間照夜之燈。尋常多是論三五，惟有今宵分外明。雖然，鼓山道底。」

Ascending the hall at Mid-Autumn: "Sometimes hidden, sometimes manifest, with wanes and waxes, it serves as the impartial mirror in the sky, and is truly a lantern illuminating the night for the human world. Usually people mostly talk about the fifteenth night, but tonight it is exceptionally bright. Although that is so, it is what Gushan said."
