8.81

上堂舉：「雲門因僧問：『殺父殺母，佛前懺悔；殺佛殺祖，向甚處懺悔？』門云：『露。』忽有人問淨慈，只向道：『知。』還得相應麼？」復云：「雲門露，淨慈知，權衡常在握，不放秤頭低。」

Ascending the hall, he cited: "Because a monk asked Yunmen, 'If one kills father and kills mother, one repents before the Buddha; if one kills the Buddha and kills the patriarchs, where does one repent?' Yunmen said: 'Exposed.' If someone suddenly asks Jingci, I would only say to him: 'Known.' Does that tally, or not?" He further said: "Yunmen exposed, Jingci known; the steelyard is always in hand, never letting the beam drop low."
