達磨忌拈香：「應般若多羅之讖，嫩桂無差；破流支三藏之疑，詞鋒峻烈。從此六宗歛影，正脈流通，一花五葉，滿地吹香，海竪山椒，咸沾聖澤，月良春小，蓂莢五敷，炷此兜樓，少伸攀慕。且道，大師還來也無？」插香云：「不審不審。」

Offering incense on Bodhidharma's memorial day: "Responding to the prophecy of Prajñātāra, the tender cassia was without error; breaking the doubt of Tripiṭaka Master [Bodhi]ruci, his words were sharp and severe. From this time, the six schools withdrew their shadows and the correct lineage flowed and circulated. One flower with five petals, the whole ground blew with fragrance; the heights of the sea and the peaks of the mountains were all moistened by the sage's benevolence. In this auspicious month and early spring, five pods of the calendar plant unfold; burning this turuṣka incense, I faintly express my longing. Tell me, has the Great Master arrived or not?" Inserting the incense, he said: "Respectful inquiries, respectful inquiries."
