次日上堂：「秋風吹曉露，秋雨送秋炎，祖師門下客，無處不咨參。前程忽撞著箇金口木舌漢，又作麼生？」卓主丈：「且喜大事了畢。」

The next day, ascending the hall: "The autumn wind blows morning dew; autumn rain sends away the autumn heat. Guests beneath the ancestral master's gate consult and inquire everywhere. If ahead you suddenly bump into a fellow with a gold mouth and a wooden tongue, how then?" Striking the staff, he said: "Joyfully, the great matter is completely settled."
