9.87

圓覺大師第十二忌，拈香：「西天末葉，東土初枝，趑趄梁魏兮，形影相吊，冷坐嵩少兮，路徑委蛇，將謂單傳直指，誰知一握亂絲，罵底恨底，患在為人之師，今則枝枯葉隕，敷茂何期，有屈明明無雪處，臨風只可自噓戲，聊陳菲供，來兮鑒諸。」

On the twelfth death anniversary of Great Master Yuanjue [Bodhidharma], offering incense: "The last leaf of the Western Heaven, the first branch of the eastern land. Hesitating between Liang and Wei, shadow and form comforting each other; sitting coldly at Mount Shaoshi, the path winding and serpentine. One thought it was a separate transmission directly pointing, but who knew it was a fistful of tangled threads? Those who curse and those who resent—the trouble lies in being a teacher of people. Now the branches are withered and leaves have fallen, when can luxurious flourishing be expected? An injustice clearly seen where there is no snow; facing the wind, one can only sigh to oneself. Briefly presenting a meager offering, come and witness it!"
