上堂云。好諸禪悳。雪滿前岐。著脚玻𭹳地上。春生歸路。藏身翡翠屏中。功勳未動已前。境迷一色。家法相承之處。道絕諸隣。諸人還會麼。謀臣猛將今何在。萬里清風祇自知。

Ascending the hall, he said: "Noble Chan worthies! Snow fills the fork in the road ahead; set your foot upon ground of lapis lazuli. Spring is born on the return path; conceal your body within an emerald screen. Before merit and achievement have stirred, the environment is lost in a single colour; at the place where the family method is inherited, the Way is cut off from all neighbours. Do all of you understand? Where are the strategists and fierce generals today? The pure breeze over ten thousand miles only knows itself."
