師於建炎二年六月十三日入院。上堂云。一塵起大地收。一花開天下春。衲僧變態。須是恁麼始得。便乃一切時一切處。任運自在。應用無方。諸人還委悉麼。風行草偃。水到渠成。

On the thirteenth day of the sixth month in the second year of Jianyan, the master entered the monastery. Ascending the hall, he said: "A single speck of dust arises, and the great earth is gathered in; a single flower opens, and all under heaven is spring. The transformations of a patch-robed monk must be like this to be right. Then, at all times and in all places, one moves freely and at ease, functioning and applying without fixed direction. Do all of you understand? When the wind blows, the grass bends; when water arrives, the channel is formed."
