上堂云。日照晝月照夜。天清而高地厚而下。不我處者大功。不可逃者至化。舉起鎮州羅蔔。酬却廬陵米價。阿嚕勒繼薩婆訶。佳作人可知禮也。

Ascending the hall, [the Master] said: "The sun illuminates the day, the moon illuminates the night. Heaven is pure and high, earth is thick and low. What does not dwell in self is great merit; what cannot be escaped is supreme transformation. Holding up the Zhenzhou radish, one pays off the price of rice in Luling. Arolik svāhā! A refined person surely understands propriety!"
