舉首坐立僧上堂云。吾家種草古今難。針鼻纔分度線端。混處相期君把手。到時不與汝同盤。却來大用縱橫是。向去全功轉側看。底事要憑師印可。輪回生死不相干。

Citing the elevation of a monk by the head monk, he ascended the hall and said: / "My family's seedlings have been rare from ancient times to now; / Just as the eye of the needle splits, it passes the tip of the thread. / In the mixed place we mutually agree as you clasp hands; / When you arrive, I do not share the tray with you. / Turning back, the great functioning is criss-crossing and free; / Going forward, look at the full dynamic action shifting and turning. / This matter must rely on the master's seal of approval; / Samsāra, birth and death, are none of its concern."
