1.26

上堂云。機輪未動影像俱忘。無跡可尋。與虛空而合體。無家可坐。盡法界以成身。毘盧頂後看神光。舜若體前分活眼。正恁麼時如何履踐。良久云。手指空時天地轉。迴途石馬出紗籠。

Ascending the hall, he said: "Before the wheel of capacity moves, all images are forgotten. There is no trace to be found; it unites in body with empty space. There is no home to dwell in; it takes the entire Dharma realm to form its body. Behind the crown of Vairocana, behold the divine light; before the body of Śūnyatā, discern the living eye. Just at such a time, how do you tread?" After a long pause he said: "When the hand points to emptiness, heaven and earth revolve; on the return path, the stone horse emerges from the gauze cage."
