1.64

上堂云。寒雲密密。野雪漫漫。路絕千差。家迷一色。若未到這田地者。是須踏步向前。若墮此功勳者。要須轉却了來相見。且作麼生是相見底事。良久云。通身無辨處。當頭不坐功。

Ascending the hall, [the Master] said, "Cold clouds are dense; wild snow is vast. Roads cut off a thousand differences; the home is lost in a single colour. One who has not reached this stage must step forward. One who falls into this achievement must turn around completely and come to meet. And how is the matter of meeting?" After a pause, he said, "The whole body has no place to be distinguished; directly at the head, do not abide in merit."
