舉東印土國王。請二十七祖般若多羅齋。王問。云何不看經。祖云。貧道入息不居陰界。出息不涉眾緣。常轉如是經。百千萬億卷。頌曰。

Case: The king of an eastern Indian realm invited the twenty-seventh patriarch, Prajñātāra, to a meal. The king asked, "Why do you not read the scriptures?" The patriarch said, "This poor monk's in-breath does not abide in the skandhas and dhātus; the out-breath does not involve the many conditions. Constantly do I turn such a scripture—hundreds of thousands of myriads of koṭis of fascicles." The verse says:
