3.24

舉乾峯示眾云。法身有三種病二種光。須是一一透得。更有照用臨時。向上一竅在。雲門出云。菴內人為什麼不知菴外事。峯呵呵大笑。門云。猶是學人疑處。峯云。子是什麼心行。門云。也要和尚相委。峯云。直須恁麼穩密始得穩坐地。門云喏喏。師云。坐著病在膏肓。用著光不透脫。直饒儞縱橫十字。圓轉一機。也未知有向上一竅在。還得穩坐地麼。到頭霜夜月。任運落前溪。

[The Master] cited Qianfeng instructing the assembly: "The Dharma body has three kinds of illnesses and two kinds of light. One must penetrate each and every one of them; furthermore, there is illuminating and functioning in accordance with the moment, and there is the one upward opening." Yunmen came forward and said, "Why does the person inside the hermitage not know the affairs outside the hermitage?" Feng burst out laughing heartily. Men said, "This is still where this student has doubt." Feng said, "What is your state of mind?" Men said, "I also need the Master to examine it." Feng said, "One must be so secure and hidden before one can sit securely on the ground." Men said, "Yes, yes." The Master said, "Sitting down, the disease is in the vitals; functioning, the light does not penetrate freely. Even if you crisscross in all directions and turn a single pivot completely, you still do not know of the one upward opening. Can you sit securely on the ground? / In the end, the moon of a frosty night / Falls naturally into the front stream."
