舉夾山云。目前無法。意在目前。他不是目前法。非耳目之所到。師云。夾山老子。解開布袋頭。將差珍異寶。攃向諸人面前了也。正當恁麼時。却作麼生。路不拾遺。君子稱美。

[The Master] cited: Jiashan said: “Before the eyes there are no phenomena; the meaning lies before the eyes. It is not a phenomenon before the eyes, nor is it reached by ear or eye.”
The Master said: “Old man Jiashan untied the mouth of the cloth bag and scattered rare treasures in front of everyone. Just at such a moment, how is it? No one picks up things dropped on the road; the gentleman praises it.”
