送監收上堂。地藏栽田做活計。南泉鎌子能收刈。日用平懷穩便休。自然顆糝無遺棄。無遺棄不容易。爾也莫虧我。我也不虧爾。兩家賓主平。四稜齊塌地。風不鳴條。雨不破塊。箇是叢林飽參底。牧來純熟水牯牛。撿點將來墮隨類。曹山云。作水牯牛是隨類墮。大陽道作水牯牛。是沙門轉身處。為什麼却成隨類墮。十年歸不得。忘却來時道。

Ascending the hall to send off the harvest overseer: "Dizang planted the field as his livelihood; Nanquan's sickle could harvest and reap. In daily life, keep a level mind and rest in ease; naturally not a single grain will be discarded. Not discarding is not easy: you do not shortchange me, and I do not shortchange you. Host and guest of both parties are equal; the four edges crash to the ground together. The wind does not rustle the branches; the rain does not break the clods. This is one who has fully investigated in the monastic groves: an ox that has been herded until purely tame. When scrutinized, it falls into following the classes. Caoshan said, 'Acting as an ox is falling into following the classes.' Dayang said, 'Acting as an ox is the place where a śramaṇa turns his body.' Why then does it become falling into following the classes? For ten years unable to return, having forgotten the road by which he came."
