示眾舉教中道。毛吞巨海。芥納須彌。且道。毛如何吞巨海。芥如何納須彌。有底道。大無大相。小無小相。一相無相。為之實相。恁麼說話。要且無衲僧氣息。且道。衲僧分上又作麼生。阿儂撞著須菩提。一切法中入三昧。

Instructing the assembly, [the Master] brought up: "In the teachings it is said: 'A hair swallows the vast ocean; a mustard seed contains Sumeru.' Tell me, how does a hair swallow the vast ocean? How does a mustard seed contain Sumeru? Some say: 'The great has no mark of greatness; the small has no mark of smallness. The single mark that is markless is termed the true mark.' Talking like this still lacks the breath of a patch-robed monk. Tell me, on the part of a patch-robed monk, how is it? I ran into Subhūti, entering samādhi amidst all dharmas."
