上堂。一雨霑濡。諸根萌動。青黃各成其姿。長短各隨其用。綿綿也妙有機絲。混混也廓無稜縫。若人問我如何。敢道不快漆桶。

Ascending the hall: "A single rain moistens and soaks; the various roots sprout. Blue-green and yellow each form their postures; long and short each follow their functions. Continuous and unbroken, subtle is the loom's thread; merged and indistinct, vast without edges or seams. If someone asks me what it is like, I dare say it is an unpleasant lacquer tub."
