6.59

清淨無染是爾身。圓照無緣是爾眼。身中之眼。不涉根門。眼中之身。不是色聚。所以道。曾無如外智能證於如。亦無智外如為智所證。可謂佛是法家底佛。法是佛家底法。衲僧到者裏。方知從佛口生。從法花生。得佛法分。還端的麼。兩頭俱坐斷。只箇古今人。當恁麼體取。

Purity without defilement is your body; complete illumination without conditions is your eye. The eye within the body does not involve the sense gates; the body within the eye is not an aggregate of form. Therefore it is said: 'There has never been wisdom outside of suchness that can realize suchness, nor has there ever been suchness outside of wisdom that is realized by wisdom.' It can indeed be said that the Buddha is the buddha of Dharma's family, and the Dharma is the dharma of Buddha's family. When a patch-robed monk arrives here, only then does he know he is born from the Buddha's mouth, born transformed from the Dharma, and has obtained a share of the Buddha's Dharma. Is it truly authentic? Cutting off both extremes, it is just this person of ancient and modern. You should realize and embody it in this way.
