冥冥而覺。全真絕學。海口自吞。駟舌須縮。圜混有光兮。
老蚌之胎。空同無物兮。枯龜之殼。
箇事而窮通。作家不啐啄。語出科模。用無稜角。
叢林笑相看面也。萎萎羸羸。三棒打不回頭也。
齷齷齪齪。

Awakening in profound darkness, / Perfectly genuine, beyond study. / The ocean-like mouth swallows itself; / The four-horse tongue must retract. / Round and blended, possessing light: / The womb of the old oyster. / Void and empty, containing no thing: / The shell of the dried turtle. / Thoroughly comprehending this matter, / An adept does not need pecking and tapping from inside and out. / Words step outside the mold; / Function has no sharp corners. / In the monastic grove they laugh, looking at each other's faces: / Withered and gaunt! / Even three blows of the staff will not make him turn his head: / Fussy and pettifogging!
