顛毛之絲。眼角之黐。是身頹老。與世支離。枯禪心了了。
空劫鼻垂垂。曉寒霜結山川薄。霽夜月行河漢遲。
借伴還來機用妙。不銷彈指知音知。

Silk on the crown of the head; / glue at the corners of the eyes. / This body is decrepit and old, / out of step with the world. / In withered Chan, the mind is lucid; / in the kalpa of emptiness, the nostrils hang down. / In the morning chill, frost forms thin over mountains and rivers; / on a clear night, the moon moves slowly through the River of Stars. / Borrowing a companion and returning, the functioning of the mechanism is wondrous; / without spending the snap of a finger, an intimate friend understands.
