[The Master] cited Baofu asking Changqing: "Panshan said, 'Light and realm both vanish—what is it again?' Dongshan said, 'Light and realm have not vanished—what is it again?' Relying on these two old masters, neither has cut it clean yet. How can it be cut clean?" Changqing remained silent for a long time. Fu said, "I know full well that you are making a living in a ghost cave." Qing said, "What about you?" Fu said, "Holding the plow with both hands, the water is past the knees." The Master said, "Both vanishing, not yet vanishing; snatching the person, snatching the realm—why did Baofu not approve of Changqing? The great peace was originally founded by the general, yet the general is not permitted to see the great peace."
