The spiritual and bright ground has not changed since ancient times; striving to look, one cannot reach its boundaries. Vast and flat, it accepts no trace or defilement. Wandering and treading within it, wild clouds lean against the mountain, the family tradition is calm and indifferent; autumn water holds the moon, the realm is clear and bright. When you unerringly arrive at this place, you will know that the mind-ground and Dharma-field are the source from which the myriad phenomena arise. The seed-nature does not wither; flowers and leaves pervade the realm. Therefore it is said: 'A single grain in the wild field, unweeded, the sprout naturally flourishes.'
