It does not rely on cultivation and realization; it is originally fully endowed. It is not defiled; it is thoroughly pure. Right at the place of complete endowment and purity, plant an eye: illuminate thoroughly and cast off completely, realize brightly and tread securely. Birth and death originally have no root; appearance and disappearance originally leave no trace. The original light illuminates the crown of the head; it is empty and spiritual. Original wisdom responds to conditions; though quiescent, it shines. Truly arriving where there is neither center nor edge, devoid of before and after, only then does it become a single whole. In every sense-organ and every dust-mote, everywhere and in all places, stick out the broad and long tongue, transmit the inexhaustible lamp, radiate great bright light, and perform great Buddha-work. Originally not borrowing the slightest external dharma, it is distinctly the affair within one's own house.
