The crane is old, the pine solitary; / the spring is cold, the stone emaciated. / The mirror confronting the image; / the valley answering the call. / The medley of manifold conditions is not existence; / the single point of spiritual brightness is not non-existence. / Settled in abiding, wondrous in responding: / the wheel of potential, the lively pivot.
