上堂。今朝五月正清和。榴花詩句入禪那。且作麼生舉。舉拂子云。看濃綠萬枝紅一點。動人春色不須多。

Ascending the hall: "This morning in the fifth month is truly pure and mild; verses on pomegranate flowers enter meditation (dhyāna). But how to bring it up?" Raising his whisk, he said, "Look! / Amidst myriad branches of deep green, a single touch of red: / Moving the heart with spring scenes does not require much."
