1.44

祈晴上堂。一滴不息。兩滴三滴。滴滴瀝瀝。連朝至夕。變作滂沱勿奈何。山河大地𫋴風波。打噴嚏一下云。總不出衲僧噴嚏一激。直得雲開日出。舉拂子云。大眾向者裡看。朗朗晴空吞八極。若還依舊水漉漉。渾家飄墮羅剎國。稽首釋迦。南無彌勒。能救世間苦。觀音妙智力咄。

Ascending the hall to pray for clear weather: One drop without stopping; two drops, three drops; dripping and trickling, from morning until dusk. Turning into a torrential downpour, nothing can be done; mountains, rivers, and the great earth are engulfed in wind and waves. Sneezing once, he said: It all does not go beyond the single outburst of a patch-robed monk's sneeze, which directly brings the clearing of clouds and the rising of the sun! Raising his whisk, he said: Assembly, look right here! A bright and clear sky swallows the eight directions. If the water remains dripping wet as before, the entire household will drift and fall into the land of rākṣasas! Bowing down to Śākya, refuge in Maitreya! One who can save from the suffering of the world—the wonderful wisdom and power of Avalokiteśvara! Du!
