上堂。霜風號肅殺。霜葉墮蕭颾。舉拂子云。看。唯有玲瓏岩。崔嵬望轉高。所謂天童滯貨。今朝短販一遭。莫有酬價底麼。下座巡堂。

Ascending the hall: "The frosty wind howls bleak and chill;
frost-bitten leaves fall whistling down."
Holding up his whisk, he said: "Look!
Only Linglong Cliff
towers lofty, gazing ever higher.
The so-called dead stock of Tiantong
is peddled on a short venture today.
Is there anyone who will bid a price?"
