復舉記得。僧問百丈。如何是奇特事。百丈云。獨坐大雄峯。大眾不得動著。且教坐殺者漢。今日忽有人問淨上座。如何是奇特事。只向它道。有甚奇特。畢竟如何。淨慈鉢盂。移過天童喫飯。

He brought up again: "I remember: a monk asked Baizhang, 'What is the extraordinary thing?' Baizhang said, 'Sitting alone on Mount Daxiong.' Great assembly, do not stir! Let this fellow sit to death for now. Today, if someone suddenly asks Senior Monk Jing, 'What is the extraordinary thing?' I would only say to him, 'What is so extraordinary?' Ultimately, how is it? Moving the bowl of Jingci over to Tiantong to eat rice."
