要平不平（細若蚍蜉。大丈夫漢須是恁麼）大巧若拙（不動聲色。藏身露影）
或指或掌（看。果然這箇不是）倚天照雪（斬。覷着則瞎）大冶兮磨礱不下（更用煆煉作什麼。干將莫能來）
良工兮拂拭未歇（人莫能行。直饒干將出來也倒退三千）

"Wanting to level what is uneven, (Fine as an ant. A great fellow must be like this.) / Great skill appears clumsy. (Without stirring sound or form. Hiding the body while revealing the shadow.) / Now a finger, now a palm; (Look! Indeed this is not it.) / Leaning against the sky, it reflects the snow. (Severed! Look at it and you are blinded.) / In the great foundry, it cannot be honed; (What further need is there for smelting? Even Ganjian cannot match it.) / The master craftsman's polishing never rests. (Nobody can walk here. Even if Ganjian came out, he would retreat three thousand [leagues].)"
