垂示云。定龍蛇分玉石。別緇素決猶豫。若不是頂門上有眼。肘臂下有符。往往當頭蹉過。只如今見聞不昧。聲色純真。且道是皂是白。是曲是直。到這裏作麼生辨。

The pointer says: To determine dragons from snakes, to distinguish jade from stone, to separate black from white, and to resolve hesitation—if one does not have an eye on top of one's head and a talisman under one's elbow, one will often miss it right before one's face. Just now, seeing and hearing are not obscured, sounds and forms are pure and true: tell me, is it black or white, crooked or straight? Arriving here, how do you discern it?
