5.33

一二三四五六（周而復始。滴水滴凍。費許多工夫作什麼）碧眼胡僧數不足（三生六十劫。達磨何曾夢見。闍黎為什麼知而故犯）
少林謾道付神光（一人傳虗萬人傳實。從頭來已錯了也）
卷衣又說歸天竺（賺殺一船人。懡㦬不少）
天竺茫茫無處尋（在什麼處。始是太平。如今在什麼處）
夜來却對乳峯宿（刺破爾眼睛。也是無風起浪。且道是法身是佛身。放爾三十棒）

"One, two, three, four, five, six—(Going around and beginning anew. Icicles drip from water. Why waste so much effort?)
The blue-eyed foreign monk cannot count them all. (Three lives and sixty kalpas. Bodhidharma never even dreamed of it. Why did the Ācārya knowingly commit the offense?)
At Shaolin, they vainly speak of handing it to Shenguang; (One person transmits a falsehood, ten thousand transmit it as fact. From the very beginning it has already gone wrong.)
Rolling up his robes, he again spoke of returning to India. (He deceived a whole boatload of people. No small amount of embarrassment.)
India is vast and boundless, with nowhere to seek him; (Where is he? Only then is it great peace. Where is he right now?)
Last night he returned to lodge facing Ru Peak!" (Piercing your eyes. This too is raising waves where there is no wind. And tell me, is it the Dharma-body or the Buddha-body? I give you thirty blows of the staff.)
