象王嚬呻（富貴中之富貴。誰人不悚然。好箇消息）獅子哮吼（作家中作家。百獸腦裂。好箇入路）
無味之談（相罵饒爾接嘴。鐵橛子相似。有什麼咬嚼處。分疎不下五年強。一葉舟中載大唐。渺渺兀然波浪起。誰知別有好思量）
塞斷人口（相唾饒爾潑水。咦闍黎道甚麼）
南北東西（有麼有麼。天上天下。蒼天蒼天）烏飛兔走（自古自今一時活埋）

The elephant king yawns and stretches—
(Riches and honors among riches and honors. Who would not tremble? A fine piece of news!)
The lion roars.
(An adept among adepts. The hundred beasts' brains split open. A fine way of entry!)
Flavorless talk
(Letting you join mouths in cursing each other. Like an iron peg. What bite is there to chew? Unable to explain it away for more than five years. A single leaf-boat carrying the Great Tang. Vast and drifting, suddenly the billows rise. Who knows there is another fine deliberation?)
Plugs mouths shut.
(Letting you splash water in spitting at each other. Eh! Ācārya, what are you saying?)
South, north, east, west—
(Is there any? Is there any? In heaven and on earth. Blue heaven! Blue heaven!)
The crow flies, the hare runs.
(From antiquity to the present, all at once buried alive!)
