垂示云。快人一言快馬一鞭。萬年一念一念萬年。要知直截。未舉已前。且道未舉已前。作麼生摸索。請舉看。

The pointer says: For a quick person, a single word; for a swift horse, a single flick of the whip. Ten thousand years in a single thought; a single thought for ten thousand years. If you wish to know the direct and immediate, it is prior to any case being brought forward. Now tell me, prior to its being brought forward, how will you grope for it? Please bring it forward and look.
