了事衲僧消一箇（現有一箇。朝打三千暮打八百。跳出金剛圈。一箇也不消得）
長連床上展脚臥（果然是箇瞌睡漢。論劫不論禪）夢中曾說悟圓通（早是瞌睡更說夢。却許爾夢見。寐語作什麼）
香水洗來驀面唾（咄。土上加泥又一重。莫來淨地上屙）。

"For a patch-robed monk who has settled his business, one is enough; (Presently there is one. Three thousand blows in the morning, eight hundred in the evening. Leaping out of the diamond cage—not even one is needed!) / On the long continuous bench he stretches his legs and lies down. (Truly a sleepy fellow! Discussing kalpas, not discussing Chan.) / In a dream he once spoke of awakening to perfect penetration; (Already asleep, and again speaking of dreams! Still, you are permitted to have dreamed it. What are you doing talking in your sleep?) / Washed with fragrant water, foul spit directly in his face!" (Bah! Another layer of mud added to earth. Do not come to shit on clean ground.)
