9.15

垂示云。道是是無可是。言非非無可非。是非已去。得失兩忘。淨裸裸赤灑灑。且道。面前背後是箇什麼。或有箇衲僧出來道。面前是佛殿三門。背後是寢堂方丈。且道。此人還具眼也無。若辨得此人。許爾親見古人來。

The pointer says: If you say it is right, there is nothing that can be right; if you say it is wrong, there is nothing that can be wrong. Right and wrong are already gone; gain and loss are both forgotten. Clean and naked, stripped and bare—tell me, what is in front and what is behind? If a patch-robed monk were to step forward and say, 'In front is the Buddha Hall and the triple gate; behind is the sleeping hall and the abbot's quarters'—tell me, does this person still have eyes or not? If you can discern this person, I grant that you have personally seen the ancients.
