信衣半夜付盧能（賊兒賊智）攪攪黃梅七百僧（上梁不正）
臨際一枝正法眼（半明半暗全在今朝）瞎驢滅却得人憎。（心甜口苦）
心心相印（販私鹽漢）祖祖傳燈（鑿壁偷光）夷平海嶽。（拳倒黃鶴樓踢飜鸚鵡洲）
變化鵾鵬（翻手是雲覆手是雨）只箇名言難比擬（猶嫌少在）
大都手段解飜騰（正法眼藏猶在）

"The robe of faith was entrusted at midnight to Lu Neng; (A thief's boy, a thief's cleverness.) / It stirred up Huangmei's seven hundred monks. (If the upper beam is not straight...) / Linji's single branch of the eye of the true Dharma: (Half bright, half dark, it all hinges on today.) / Destroyed by the blind donkey, it earns people's scorn. (Sweet heart, bitter mouth.) / Mind and mind seal each other; (A trafficker in smuggled salt.) / Patriarch and patriarch transmit the lamp, (Boring through a wall to steal light.) / Leveling the seas and mountains. (Punching down the Yellow Crane Tower, kicking over Parrot Island.) / The giant roe transforms into the peng: (Turning his hand makes clouds; overturning his hand makes rain.) / Just this name and phrase is hard to compare; (Still suspected of being inadequate.) / On the whole, his capability understands how to overturn everything."
