舉。風穴垂語云。若立一塵家國興盛（得之本有）不立一塵家國喪亡（失之本無）雪竇拈拄杖云（是立不立）還有同死同生底衲僧麼（不道無只是少）。

Case: Fengxue gave a guiding phrase, saying: 'If one establishes a single particle of dust, the family and state flourish (gained, it is fundamentally present); if one does not establish a single particle of dust, the family and state perish (lost, it is fundamentally absent).' Xuedou held up his staff and said (is it established or not established?): 'Are there any patch-robed monks who die together and live together?' (I do not say there are none, only that they are few).
