作賊心（贜物已露）過人膽（傍若無人）歷歷縱橫對機感（白拈巧偷）
保福雲門。也垂鼻欺脣（探頭太過）翠巖長慶。也脩眉映眼（佯打不知）
杜禪和　有何限（天童杜撰何似萬松）剛道。意句一齊剗（欲隱彌露）
埋沒自己。也飲氣吞聲（養子不及父）
帶累先宗。也面牆擔板（家門一世衰）

The mind of a thief—(The stolen goods are already exposed.)
Courage surpassing others;(Acting as if no one were around.)
Distinctly vertical and horizontal, responding to the capacity.(A skillful thief of daylight robbery.)
Baofu and Yunmen—drooping noses, slighting lips;(Sticking their heads out too far.)
Cuiyan and Changqing—long eyebrows mirroring eyes.(Pretending not to know.)
Ignorant Chan monks,
how countless they are!(Tiantong fabricates; how does he compare to Wansong?)
Stubbornly saying that intent and words are swept away together.(Wishing to conceal, it is all the more exposed.)
Burying themselves, swallowing their breath in silence;(A son not measuring up to his father.)
Dragging down the ancestral school, facing the wall and carrying a board.(The household declines for a generation.)
