草漫漫（直下無底傍無邊）門裏門外君自看（照顧絆倒）荊棘林中下脚易（荒田揀草）
夜明簾外轉身難（淨地却迷人）看看（事不厭細）
幾何般（枯木巖前差路多）且隨老木同寒瘠（但存今日志）
將逐春風入燒瘢（必有稱心時）

Grass overflows everywhere; (Directly below there is no bottom, sideways there is no border.) / Inside the gate, outside the gate, see for yourself. (Take care not to trip and fall.) / In a thicket of brambles, placing one's feet is easy; (Sorting through grass in an abandoned field.) / Outside the luminous night screen, turning one's body is hard. (Clean ground nevertheless confuses people.) / Look, look! (Matters do not tire of minuteness.) / How many kinds? (In front of the withered-tree cliff, false paths are many.) / Just follow the old tree, equally cold and barren; (Just preserve today's determination.) / Soon you will pursue the spring breeze into the scorched scar. (There will surely come a time of satisfaction.)
