人境兩俱奪。從來正令行。不論佛與祖。那說聖凡情。
擬犯吹毛劍。還如值目盲。進前求解會。
特地斬精靈（大慧云。正令既行。不留佛祖。到這裏進之退之。性命總在師家手裏。如吹毛劍。不可犯其鋒也）。

Snatching away both person and environment: / from the beginning the true mandate has been enforced. / Setting aside Buddhas and ancestors, / how can one speak of feelings of holy and worldly? / Intending to run against the hair-severing sword / is just like encountering one who is blind. / Stepping forward seeking understanding, / one's vital spirit is especially severed. / (Dahui said: 'Once the true mandate is enforced, it retains neither Buddhas nor ancestors. Arriving here, advancing or retreating, one's life is entirely in the master's hands. Like the hair-severing sword, one must not run against its point.')
