韶陽一派。出於德嶠之源。初見睦州。推出秦時之鑽。寄聲象骨。脫却項上之枷。使南鼈鼻攛向面前。打東鯉魚。雨傾盆下。稱提三句關鍵。拈掇一字機鋒。藏身北斗星中。獨步東山水上。端明顧鑒。不犯毫芒。格外縱擒。言前定奪。直是劍鋒有路。鐵壁無門。打翻路布葛藤。剪却常情見解。烈焰寧容湊泊。迅雷不及思量。蓋其見諦寬通。自然受用廣大。花開靈樹。子結香林。振佛祖權衡。開人天眼目。夫何源清流濁。根茂枝枯。妄立道眼因緣。謬為聲色差別。互相穿鑿。滯著語言。取辱先宗。過在後學。此雲門宗風也。

Swift thunder leaves no time for reflection. Because his realization of the truth was broad and penetrating, his natural function and enjoyment were vast. Flowers blossomed at Lingshu, and fruit ripened at Xianglin. He raised the authority of Buddhas and Patriarchs, and opened the eyes of humans and gods. Alas, when the source is clear the stream becomes turbid; when the root is lush the branches wither. Deludedly establishing encounters of the eye of the Way, mistakenly creating distinctions in sounds and forms, piercing and boring into one another, clinging to language, bringing disgrace to the ancestral lineage—the fault lies with later students. This is the style of the Yunmen lineage.
