「善知識！定惠猶如何等？如燈光，有燈即有光，無燈即無光。燈是光之體，光是燈之用。名即有二，體無兩般。此定惠法，亦復如是。

"Kalyāṇamitras! What are samādhi and prajñā like? They are like a lamp and its light: when there is a lamp, there is light; without a lamp, there is no light. The lamp is the essence of the light, and the light is the function of the lamp. In name there are two, but in essence there are not two different things. This Dharma of samādhi and prajñā is also like this.
