1.22

「善知識！法無頓漸，人有利鈍。迷即漸勸，悟人頓修。識自本心，是見本性，悟即原無差別，不悟即長劫輪迴。

"Kalyāṇamitras! In the Dharma there is neither sudden nor gradual, but in people there are the sharp and the dull. The deluded are gradually exhorted; the awakened cultivate suddenly. Knowing one's original mind is seeing one's original nature: when awakened, there is originally no difference; when unawakened, one undergoes saṃsāra for vast kalpas.
