1.79

「迷即佛眾生，悟即眾生佛。
愚癡佛眾生，智惠眾生佛。
心嶮佛眾生，平等眾生佛。
一生心若嶮，佛在眾生中。
一念悟若平，即眾生自佛。
我心自有佛，自佛是真佛。
自若無佛心，向何處求佛？」

"When deluded, the Buddha is a sentient being; / when awakened, the sentient being is a Buddha. / When foolish, the Buddha is a sentient being; / with wisdom, the sentient being is a Buddha. / When the mind is crooked, the Buddha is a sentient being; / when impartial, the sentient being is a Buddha. / Throughout a lifetime, if the mind is crooked, / the Buddha is within sentient beings. / In a single thought, if awakened and impartial, / the sentient being is oneself a Buddha. / Our minds themselves possess a Buddha; / one's own Buddha is the true Buddha. / If one lacks the Buddha-mind within oneself, / toward what place will one seek the Buddha?"
