大師言：「汝等門人好住！吾留一頌，名〈自性見真佛解脫頌〉。後代迷人，聞此頌意，即見自心自性真佛。與汝此頌，吾共汝別。」頌曰：
The Master said: "Disciples, farewell! I leave a verse titled 'Verse on the Own-Nature Seeing the True Buddha and Attaining Liberation'. Deluded people of later generations who hear the meaning of this verse will see the true Buddha of their own mind and own-nature. Giving you this verse, I take my leave of you." The verse said:
