「無端起知見，著相求菩提，
情存一念悟，寧越昔時迷。
自性覺源體，隨照枉遷流，
不入祖師室，茫然趣兩頭。」

"Groundlessly giving rise to vision and knowledge,
Clinging to appearances to seek bodhi,
If feeling retains a single thought of awakening,
How can one surpass past delusions?
The svabhāva is the substance of the source of awakening;
Following illumination, it vainly wanders and turns.
Had I not entered the Patriarch's room,
I would be lost, heading toward the two extremes."
