38.16

問。若一切染淨萬法。皆由心成者。如人先見障外有物。別有人去物時。心猶謂有。爾時物實無。何名由心成耶。

Question: If all the myriad defiled and pure phenomena are established by the mind, then take a person who previously sees an object beyond an obstruction; when another person removes the object, the [first person's] mind still thinks it is there. At that time the object is truly non-existent; how can it be called established by the mind?
